Container Preparation

• Multiple rinsing so that no residues remain inside and out. Best to do when mixing and loading material for application.
• Drain so that containers are as dry as possible.
• Hard plastic lids removed, and placed in separate container. They can also be recycled.
• Slip on labels and booklets removed. Glued on labels may remain.
• Remove foil from mouth. A small amount of foil on the mouth of the container is acceptable.
• Five gallon containers and smaller are accepted whole. Remove lids and metal bails from five gallon buckets. Lids from buckets are accepted if metal ring and rubber gasket are removed.
• 30 and 55 gallon containers are also accepted using the same guidelines presented here.

Acceptability

	Thread and lip are clean.	Stained but acceptable.	Inside is dry.	Inside bottom is rinsed clean.
	Dried formulation on thread and lip.	Stained and unacceptable.	Liquid is present.	Bottom is caked with formulation.
