Container Preparation
- Multiple rinsing so that no residues remain inside and out. Best to do when mixing and loading material for application.
- Drain so that containers are as dry as possible.
- Hard plastic lids removed, and placed in separate container. They can also be recycled.
- Slip on labels and booklets removed. Glued on labels may remain.
- Remove foil from mouth. A small amount of foil on the mouth of the container is acceptable.
- Five gallon containers and smaller are accepted whole. Remove lids and metal bails from five gallon buckets. Lids from buckets are accepted if metal ring and rubber gasket are removed.
- 30 and 55 gallon containers are also accepted using the same guidelines presented here.
